Youth Director at Congregation Dor Hadash

We are a small congregation and we pride ourselves on meeting the Jewish community of San Diego where they are, and we greatly value diversity. 

Responsibilities include working with our teens to create a year-long program including fun outings, holiday celebrations, and building leadership skills for our small group of high school students. The commitment will be approximately 1-3 hours per week, and gatherings will take place mostly on Sundays.

Early Childhood Educators (Preschool Teachers)

Silverman Preschool in San Diego is seeking experienced, loving, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educators to join our team. Our school is expanding and in addition to preschool teachers we are looking for a TK/Gesher teacher who is familiar with San Diego public school standards.  We ensure a safe and nurturing environment that promotes Judaic, social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of young children. Hebrew School teachers

Tifereth Israel Synagogue (near SDSU) seeks Hebrew School teachers Wednesday afternoons (currently 4-6 PM, with a possibility that hours will be pushed a little later, TBD) and Sundays 9 AM-12 PM. Ability to teach Hebrew is preferred, but there are opportunities for those who would be more comfortable teaching Judaic topics as well, including history, Israel holidays, ethics and ethics/values, at a range of age levels from Kindergarten through 7th Grade. Religious School Teachers

Ohr Shalom needs energetic teachers for our Religious School next year. If you are looking for a loving environment to teach children twice a week, this is the right job for you! Our Religious School meets on Thursday afternoons 4:30 pm -6:30 pm and on Sunday mornings from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm. Compensation is based on experience. We need teachers familiar with Hebrew, prayers and holidays. We will provide books, structure and training. (A musician would also be lovely!)
 
 

Hebrew School Teacher (Congregation Beth Am)

Want to make a difference in the lives of children and the Jewish future?

Be a teacher in the Jewish Learning Center of Congregation Beth Am! We’re looking for faculty who enjoy working with children, have a love of Judaism, and want to be challenged to learn more themselves.

Our school hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays 4:00-6:30 pm and Sundays 9:00 am — 12:00 pm. Positions are available in grades K, 4th and 6th Grade for all three days or Sundays only. Evening High School Teacher or Specialist (Congregation Beth Am)

Are you interested in having an impact in the lives of a group of teenagers?

Do you have any hobbies or skills that you could use in a fun and engaging elective for teens?

Are you available on Monday nights to join over 100 teens for a fun evening?

Our School hours are Monday nights from 6:15-8:30pm. We are looking for elective teachers and teachers who are comfortable teaching leadership to our 8th grade. The congregation is in Carmel Valley at 5050 Del Mar Heights Road, San Diego, CA 92130. Contact Rabbi Matthew Earne at 858-481-8454.
